Fortebet Uganda is required by the NLGRB Responsible Gaming Directives (2025) to provide the following player protection tools.

  • Deposit limits — set daily, weekly or monthly caps on account funding
  • Time-out and cooling-off periods — pause your betting activity for a set period
  • Self-exclusion (temporary or permanent) — block access to your Fortebet account
  • NLGRB central self-exclusion register — exclusion shared across all licensed operators in Uganda
  • Age verification — mandatory for all accounts; minimum age 18 years

How to set limits or self-exclude at Fortebet

To activate responsible gambling settings, contact Fortebet support directly.

  1. Log in to your Fortebet account at fortebet.ug
  2. Go to Account Settings and look for Responsible Gambling options
  3. To set a deposit limit, select the amount and confirm — takes effect immediately
  4. For self-exclusion, call 0800 202 202 (toll-free) or WhatsApp +256 776 500 501
  5. For NLGRB-level self-exclusion across all Uganda operators, contact the NLGRB on 0800 285 800

Warning signs of problem gambling

Gambling is a problem when it starts affecting your finances, relationships or daily life. Watch out for:

  • Spending more than you planned or can afford on betting
  • Chasing losses — placing bigger bets to recover previous losses
  • Borrowing money or going without food, rent or bills to fund gambling
  • Hiding your gambling activity from family or friends
  • Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when not betting
